Gardering architect, unfolding the beauty between order and chaos
Heading soon to @Øredev, exploring how modeling can become a way of leading complexity. 🌿

From work ↔ collaboration ↔ conversation — new modeling fronts will be explored using relational methodology and sociotechnical architecture.

What a great recap and reflections on my talk about sociotechnical complexity last year's KanDDDinsky written by @smallcircles@social.coop on fediverse 🙏. I couldn't have written it better myself. discuss.coding.social/t/sx-perspec.... The talk itself: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAav....

Recent interview by InfoQ (🙏 @benlinders.bsky.social) about sociotechnical fitness. www.infoq.com/news/2025/05.... We talked about what it means to engage with sociotechnical complexity as a first-order challenge — not just treat it as a gnawing byproduct of scaling software or organizations.
How a Sociotechnical Approach Can Help to Deal with Complexity
Today’s software professionals navigate a maze of technical, business, and social complexity. According to Xin Yao, thriving in this environment requires more than just technical and business expertis...

As spring reluctantly reaches Scandinavia, the beauty of impermanence is everywhere. Emerging from some garden work i am wondering - so much “mud” as the world is in now, how can we keep our hearts open as a lotus flower, free of blame or despair. What do I need to compost, and what to grow?

Made me recall Thomas Carlyle

".... the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing."

I would add to the last bit

... the worst is you do nothing because of how little you CAN do.
Sting ("Englishman in NY") was in the news. His debut musical - the Last Ship - had its opening show at Østre Gasværk in Copenhagen.

Journalist (J): Do you think a song can change the world?
Sting (S): Probably not. I would hope it can plant a seed.

J: Did the musical plant a seed?
S: Yes.

Thrilled to appear on the OrgDev Podcast with Garin & Dani - a fantastic knowledge radiator in the OD&D community. I'm truly humbled by their subtitle, "What can OD learn from DDD?" For me, it's equally true the other way around! 😊

Loads of practical insight from @hschwentner.bsky.social at #OOP in Munich about domain-driven refactoring. Love the Monolease monolith case, the Hamburg concert hall metaphor and the filmography. Well designed and well deployed!

@settling-mud.bsky.social if we formalise our team API and misuse team topologies to say: we can only communicate in this API way to 'bridge the gap'. Reducing the social complexity will isolate the software architecture and that impacts trickle down to more brittle software...
