Here's a quick week summary, and what's coming up:

I had an absolute blast working on this project, and honestly haven't felt so happy with a jam entry since.. well, maybe ever. 😅 Gonna rest up tonight, and then dare to take a peek over at the page and see how things are going on itch! setolyx.itch.io/carrot-captive

I feel like alongside the overall gameplay loop being quickly developed within the first day, I also finally started finding a bit of ability in myself to do some texture painting, UV unwrapping, etc. I think it shows quite well when looking at the end of day 1 compared to day 4. (1 here, 4 next)

And thus, the Rabbit Jam draws to a close, and dare I say, this may be the first time ever that I have completed an entry. In 4 days I set out with a very small concept, and actually managed to complete it. It may not have bells and whistles, but it looks, sounds, and plays like a game. 🤩

The full set is a few variants of birches, pines, and some primitive tents basically texture painted through a noise map to add some easy baseline detail to it, and trying to get a bit more detail in based off brushstrokes and different noise scales painted over each other.

My brain was 100% not in code-mode today so I decided I'd actually get in there and make some art. I'm just using a really simple texture painting technique in #blender and I've definitely got a lot to learn, but it's been tons of fun making these models today

Lil' over a week into the #JernJam and I'm feeling OK about progress actually! Spent today getting some art ready, and then a bit of extra time making my first model of a bear, which turned out.. recognizable? So I made him do a lil' dance for animation testing. #indiedev #solodev #gamejam #lowpoly

So @the.averagegoob.com made this oddly addictive Vibe Clicker game where I guess I clicked so many times nonstop I started seeing myself in the video game. I swear even when I capture it, it still looks like me. So weird. 😂 Am I alone? Others should play it and see if you see your own faces too.. 😱

Apparently I lost money going live today!😂

Been a lot of fun working on this the past four days. Reaching the final stretch and really hopeful to actually have a 'finished' concept.. Going to share my main menu scene because I need to do more with the game scene (yes, i know, default unity skybox, I'm GETTING THERE, hopefully... 🤣)
