it's like when you are tuning an old timey radio dial and suddenly find a really good song

except it's an idea you serendipitously found in your own brain

I am looking to upgrade soon and have been keeping my eyes on a few models at Back Market. They have pretty good prices for refurbished models.

I received a beautiful harmonica for my birthday last year, and I only play it when I am alone because I am Not Good, but I absolutely have a blast when I do play it

sometimes I even pretend to be a cowboy around a lonely campfire at night, playing a soulful tune for the cattle and tumbleweeds

I blame this current bout of temporary brain failure on this horrendous head-cold. I won't even be seriously car shopping until March anyways (tax return time)

We absolutely don't want to buy another shitbox gas car, and $10k is our budget. That's a rough combination to begin with.

My first-generation Nissan Leaf, with its uniquely terrible battery design, is 13 years old and still has 80% of original capacity 😅

Today I could pay $5k and replace it with an LFP battery that gets 2x range AND repurpose the old cells for home storage

even old batteries are remarkably durable
