Whoops! Accidentally dropped two whole lines of dialogue. I'll need to rework this!

Welp, this is why I do the rough drafts for myself at size - to catch this nonsense early.

And two new rough draft pages:

Also did a version with whitespace, just to see, but I didn't think the balance was quite right

Trying to figure out how to secure an agent is like trying to learn calculus from vague rumor and hearsay. 😅 I just want someone to hold my hand, place it gently into the hand of a glowing god, and say, "Behold, your new agent!"

Ugh, 85F/29C here yesterday. I absolutely don't want Cold AF, but sweat in November is pretty lame.

Headley's came out after I made the comparative list (as part of a review of García's and Rubin's graphic novel adaptation of Beowulf), but I've since added hers.

Phosphophyllite doesn't just have a character arc so much as a character squiggle.

The story continues to evolve dramatically throughout, even up to its final pages. Land Of The Lustrous is simply an incredible exercise in imagination and storytelling. I never knew where it was going to turn next.

Kind of amazing how rapidly a story about incalcitrant, functional immortals evolves and changes. Some of these characters are at the beginning 1000 years old and harder than steel, but the youngest of their group breaks and remolds and grows and shifts in both form and personality and motivation.

ð vs θ; or voived vs unvoiced.

Here's a quick youtube on the difference. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CeN...

The 60fps upscale stuff feels a lot more liquid/flowy and less intentional because of all the tweening. But if you can't see it, you can't see it.

The real tragedy is the people who *can* see the difference and prefer the 60fps upscale.

It reminds me of the friend of ours who couldn't hear a difference between the TH in Thanks and the TH in Thought -- and thought we were lying about it.

Fortunately, my son was astonished she couldn't see the difference and correctly thought the upscale was gross.

As I blew through my feed, I read this as "Someday soon I will be a beastar," and thought: "Yeah, that tracks. She'll probably pull it off somehow."
