Is the world a safe or dangerous place?

Is the world fascinating or dull?

Is the world always changing and evolving or is it fixed and mechanical?

Is there more than enough for everyone or are resources limited and fixed.

It seems like so much of your world view could be narrowed down to these

Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean —
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,

Roman Emperor Julian the Apostate in the late 4th century, complaining about Christians.

“For it is disgraceful that…the impious Galileans support not only their own poor but ours as well, all men see our people lack aid from us.”

When politics becomes a team sport, the focus shifts from results for constituents to simply winning.

We Are America
The most powerful nation on earth, not just in military might, but in economic strength, cultural influence, and the ability to shape the world through diplomacy and leadership.
And with that power comes choices.

Your mindset shapes how you see the world.

A fixed mindset treats every challenge as a test of your worth. A growth mindset sees every challenge as a chance to improve.

Where do you want to live your life on the spectrum between these two ideologies:

"I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man"

"My life belongs to the community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can"

for we trust that our honest unknowing is a truer and better prayer than bootstrapping efforts at certainty.

It feels like as kids we were taught to look both ways before we crossed the street.

But as an adult you realize that the drivers are looking out for you and then you get hit by an airplane.

Everything we were taught to fear turned into nothing, our struggles came from sources we never expected.

God is on his throne.

he's in control of our lives, of our nation, of our world.

He's going to take what is meant for harm and work it for good.

Have a great weekend.

As I consider the criminal rap sheet, the lack of ethics, and moral vulgarity of the man we elected to be president

I must believe that we voted for the highest of his promises rather than hatred and vindictiveness that seem so evident.

In order to remain the United States in any meaningful way.
