Plus wasn’t it an acquisition? If you want to put Hallmark movies on Netflix to get younger viewers to check out the channel, don’t give them a movie you didn’t make featuring a bad plot and aging actors who are not network regulars trying to look younger using the worst possible makeup and hair.

Could not agree more.

I feel like she dresses this way in every movie.

I actually enjoyed this movie quite a bit and loved the ending (I guess some days I’m just not that discriminating), but your comments are spot on. I particularly agree that they should have had the temple be the focus instead of the church - that tweak alone would have made so much more sense.

My impression from the promo I saw is that the Finding Mr. Christmas winner is in Make or Break Holiday in some capacity. “Lead” might be a stretch in the prize description.

I liked it - standard Hallmark fare and they have made better straight Hanukkah movies but I would watch this one again. The casting was good which always helps.

Today’s news is that the rumored “1874” show is a WCTH prequel only on Hallmark + starting in March. Bethany Joy Lenz and Benjamin Ayers will at least make me watch but maybe too much of a good thing? And I enjoy WCTH.

I read it, it was very moving.

At least the Abbott partnership was promoting the Heartmates program which is about community. I can see how that fits in (more relevant to the HM brand than the Thrivent promo anyway). If they start promoting specific drugs that would be a different story.

They did show Christmas With the Singhs once (probably at 4 am), I have a DVR recording from late October. They’ve cut more recent ones than usual this year - others not aired are A Carol for Two, To Have and to Holiday, the 5-Year Christmas Party and Confessions of a Christmas Letter.

I liked it as well although since it had a musical theme we’ll probably never see it again after this year. Do you know why they have buried Ginna Claire Mason’s 2 musicals? Available on Hallmark + but think Holiday Spectacular will be on once and A Carol For Two (which I loved) not at all.

I’m not sure that GAF’s ratings for random Christmas movies starring LL are relevant to her rejoining a show where she was an integral character and many fans have been asking to bring her back for a while. But maybe is this the swan song for WCTH? Renew early then announce it’s the last season?

I liked it a lot and I don’t even like cats. I had low expectations (I mean, cat cafe??) but it was cute. And the cameo was outstanding.

Honestly their marketing is terrible. I loved that book and will definitely watch but most won’t make the connection. I don’t care much about the key art but I’ve seen only one promo for it (which, to your point, didn’t clarify that it’s not a dating show) and then they wonder why no one watches.

Apparently the dress (and the filming location) was very similar to Autumn’s grandmother’s green hand-sewn wedding dress and so it made her feel very connected to the movie.

Haven’t seen the movie yet but I’m looking forward to it - will watch tomorrow while I’m snowed in. I also enjoyed that book and agree it would make a good movie.

Good deal - usually those offers are for new subscribers only but I was able to update mine and save $7/month.

They aren’t promoting those Sunday movies very well either. Last year every new movie was all over my FB timeline, this year not so much. It’s too bad - last weeks movie was one of my favorites so far although the one preview I’ve seen for this weeks seems uninspired.

I thought the movie tonight was very enjoyable. Acting wasn’t Oscar-winning but the message was heartwarming and it felt more like a Christmas movie than several others this year.
November 17, 2025 at 4:06 AM
I had lower expectations based on the previews but I really liked it. I knew there would be comedy, and some of the acting was a bit over the top at the start but it settled into a nice family story with a very heartwarming ending.

No way was Royal Montana worse than Angel Match. The kiss with Warren Christie alone made it a better movie.
November 3, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Love this idea for a sequel - I love Brendan Penny in anything and his character was hilarious. Snarky anchorman finds love at Christmas (or Valentine’s Day) could be awesome.
November 3, 2025 at 2:23 PM
I thought it was great - Robert Buckley is so charming and was a good match with Kimberly Sustad. A Newport Christmas was terrific too - exceeded my expectations.

Spot on analysis. I’ll probably watch it again but it wasn’t very exciting. I agree that Tamera Mowry-Housley added nothing to the show, Vaughn Vreeland as host/judge would have been better. And the baked goods, for the most part, did not even look all that great.
October 31, 2025 at 1:48 AM
It’s a fun show but how invested are they if we don’t even know what movie he’s going to be in? Last year there was a clear end game. HM can’t be that surprised - every time they post promos on FB there are tons of “hard pass”/“I watch HM to get away from reality tv”/“I’ll watch GAF” comments.
