i say loyalty bc thats what their fight was also about. maybe less that he was an agent or smth,but moreso that his words were a moment of betrayal to diluc and to mond as well, with diluc gone kaeya takes up more established roles and during this time i think he realise monds importance to him

also kaeya has some parallels with superman? being from a destroyed (planet) nation, left in another nation as the last hope, grew up with adoptive parents, him being from elsewhere is a big part of his identity, he doesn't really wear a literal mask like batman/diluc does, works in an office, idk

living in a manor outside of the city.. needing to keep your identity a secret, just as kaeya has been doing all these years, i don't think this is what diluc expected when he left home, but his way of protecting the city also mirrors kaeya's story of identity, which is quite neat imo

been catching up with batman lore lately and i've been thinking how similar diluc's story is to it lol, feels a bit ridiculous
picking up the pieces of the mirror in grief, having a parent assassinated, 'training arc', whatever he's doing in mondstadt nowadays, his wealth in money and in information
