Could be a lot of things, but it looks like a caterpillar scraped the top to me. Some just eat the top layer and leave a skeleton.

My main stopping point is light pollution, but I suspect that can be mitigated at least a little now. My fear of failure is based on trying to view Halley’s comet as a kid with a cheap telescope in Houston, so maybe I should try again. I look forward to your video.

When I was young and my mother really liked something I did, she’d put it on the wall. I guess I just kinda figured that’s what you do when you like a piece of art. I never really thought about it much or felt weird about it.
