xorg-server is unfortunately still a dependency of sddm. Are there any distros that ship kde without sddm? I would bet on that one (unless its lts)

I don't understand why some people are cranky about rust supplanting c/c++ in projects...
I could understand if there were regressions, or maybe licence changes or something like that. But getting butthurt over a language change just seems like a childish overreaction.

Im on linux, and its not unusual for websites/apps to give me extra captchas and security issues, just the first (and guess last) time discord logged me out from my phone.
The last thing I did in discord was join the marvel rivals server, but that was prolly an hr before the gpu crash

Linux is PC =), DirectX games are ran on linux via dxvk (and proton), so its kind of odd to me that the option exists on linux versions but not windows.

fwiw shader caching can be enabled on steam, (at least on linux, idk about windows)
Steam Settings -> Downloads, at the bottom there should be options for pre-caching and background caching.
This should help, but it only seems to work until the game/proton is updated again =/

As it should be, a proprietary linux os would be no better than any other proprietary garbage os. Nobody should trust a corporation not to steal your data and force ads down your throat
