Making a swamphen out of clay, first pass in the oven already got burnt ;~; not too big of a deal because I'll be painting anyway, but I'll need to be extra careful when I bake it again with the toes/wings/tail (which are each being done separately)

Doing realistic takes on HTTYD dragons has been a thing thanks to the live action movie, so I wanted to add my spin on things. Here's my terrible terror! A kleptoparasitic pest who bullies larger dragons for their food. Good starter dragon for the kiddoes.

It has large orange eyes an brown spikes running down it's back and tail, ending in a spade. It has a small nasal horn, and a larger ridged horn sprouting from behind the eye. It it depicted on a light brown background with a slightly darker silhouette of Hiccup from HTTYD behind it. The dragon's back only comes up to his shin, and it's wings which are reaching straight upwards only reach as far as his navel. There is text in the upper left corner which reads as follows: Terrible Terror. Small, social dragons found around coasts. They may be small, but make up for that in numbers. Fierce and stubborn kleptoparasites, they mob larger and attempt to force them to regurgitate their previous meal. On their own, they are skittish and weak. Due to their social tendencies they tame quite easily. Intelligent and very food motivated, they can be trained to perform a variety of tricks.

I went to Lake Gwellup on sunday to see the rainbow bee-eaters, and while they certainly delivered the exciting find was this juvenile pallid cuckoo! My first time ever seeing a cuckoo!!! I'm hoping to go in the morning later this week for better RBE photos, hopefully the cuckoo is still around.

Fun little shot of a couple of rainbow lorikeets from a couple months back. Real ones know the lower lori is making that face because it just took a shit 👍

Another Primeval Age piece, simple little one of my tapejara collecting rocks on the beach.

Behind it are rocks with mussels and barnacles, and the ocean. In the distance out in the water is a rocky outcropping with animals flying around it, presumably other pterosaurs.

Cliff jumper. Piece for Primeval Age.
