So as it is always the case with these projects, I signed a bunch of NDAs so I am cannot tell you anything about #PrehistoricPlanetIceAge other than I worked on the series until it premieres Nov 26th

So I cannot answer your questions right now 😅

Hey everyone. Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last couple,of weeks but I’m REALLY busy with various commissions.

Last week I had to take a small break to recover from all the work.

I’m finishing some major commissions right now and soon things will go back to more of a normal schedule

One of the largest temmnospondyls ever to exist: the gigantic Koolasuchus was also the last non-lissamphibian temnospondyl to exist. It survived into the Early Cretaceous of Australia when all other stereospondyls were long gone

The huge Deinocheirus in its habitat. Illustration I did for the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Japan

In this illustration you can see a scene set in Late Cretaceous Asia where an adult Deinocheirus is scaring away a pair of young Tarbosaurus

Therizinosaurs are, without a doubt, some of the most interesting groups of theropod dinosaurs

Here you have a selection of a few species that I reconstructed for the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Japan for their 25th Anniversary Special Exhibition

It is great when your educated guesses or hypotheses get proven largely correct by the fossil record. Here is a link to the Renesto et al. paper https://sjpp.springeropen.com/articles/10.1186/s13358-025-00396-z

In late August Renesto et al. published a paper where they described a specimen of Lariosaurus valceresii that preserves the skin, even outlining the body and limbs as well scales. I must say that I am happy that it is very very close to what I had hypothesized 😍

I am so excited for you to see all the amazing animals that will appear in this amazing show. “Surviving Earth” will premiere next year on NBC Universal’s Peacock. Thank you to Tim Haines and everyone else in the team for counting on me for the first step to bring these amazing animals back to life!

I was asked to do the concept art for the juvenile dicynodont after the talented paleoartist Raul Martin had done the concept for the adult. One of the episodes will take us through the life of a female Ischigualastia from a small baby to a large adult

I am now at liberty to share with you another of the numerous concept art pieces I did for the upcoming docuseries “Surviving Earth”. This time is for the juvenile Ischigualastia jenseni

Yesterday, I didn’t do what I normally do (which is to keep my eyes first on the ground as I am hiking to make sure that I don’t miss anything) and ALMOST stepped onto this big Northern Cottonmouth (Agkistrodon piscivorus). It wasn’t happy with me as you can see 😬
