"Do you think that Democrats should vote to allow the government to shut down in order to try to extract concessions from Trump on these matters?"

VP: "It won't be the Democrats who are shutting it down. It'll be the Republicans."

#TRUTH
There is an entire industry of "journalists" desperate to keep their jobs, while fundamentally not understanding who has the Congressional majorities.
Democrats blinked. Again. Six weeks into a GOP-made shutdown, they folded without securing ACA subsidies. Republicans saw the collapse coming and instantly pivoted to abortion. Now they're trying to extend Hyde to private insurance.

My latest:
Democrats Picked an Insurance Fight They Weren't Willing to Win. Now Abortion Is On the Line—Again (Opinion)
Congressional Democrats face a new dilemma: Vote against affordable health care, or accept a nationwide rollback of abortion coverage.

Why doesn't #JeffBezos launch a program to...compensate his workers fairly, demand U.S.-made products, tax BILLIONAIRES LIKE HIM fairly as we did before Reagan, etc.? WHY?

AIPAC in a bsky post is the same as a watermelon or a confederate flag.

They are all MAGA.
These Antisemites are the same as MAGA. AIPAC is the new Globalist to these Nazi-maggots.

If we survive the next few years, we need to have national law that requires that all video, music, pictures, writing, etc., generated by Ai will be labeled "Ai." Before any content. The first thing we see.

Medicare is a good start, but it is hardly a left wing or socialist healthcare system. To make it work for most, you need to replace it with (yuk) Medicare Advantage, or supplement it with costly Part B, D, G, Dental, Vision, and Hearing private coverage. Don't trust anyone suggesting M4A.

If I had three lifetimes, I wouldn't stop distrusting anyone on the Right or Left who told you not to vote Harris-Walz in November 2024.

Socialists are not necessarily Left Wing or Progressive.

If you believe we need universal health care, but call it Medicare For All, you want neither.

A difference between the autumn of 2025 and the summer of 1974 is that in 1974, there were Republicans in Congress who were willing to impeach and convict a criminal president.

Every accusation is an admission:

I wish we had a law enforcement body that could prosecute the Trump crime family for mortgage fraud. Who's going to tell me that between MaL, Trump Tower, Bedminster, etc. he doesn't have a stack of illegal mortgages.

Someday, appliance manufacturers will figure out that we want appliances that work great and last a long time.

Until then, they will continue to listen to their brother-in-law's suggestions about cool features that will need a $600 repair the day after the warranty expires.

Fetterman's voting record is around 75% with Dems. The BEST GOP Senator (who shall remain nameless) is around 35%.

PA Gov. Shapiro would probably appoint a far more reliable Dem to replace Fetterman until the next election, in 2026 (the winner serves out Fetterman's term, until 2028).
