This is what the Almanac looks like on my phone. The arrows on the right and left are for turning the page.
There is a Table of Contents to access from the top left menu that allows you to jump around the Almanac. You can also download or print to use offline.

Almanac page (on my phone) for December 22-24 which occur in the Earth Rat month in the Chinese calendar. There are arrows on each side of the screen that you can use to flip the pages. At the top left there is a menu where you can access the table of contents that is built into the PDF version. This is the table of contents for the PDF version of the Fire Horse 2026 Almanac. Equinoxes, solstices, and eclipses are all available here too when you access the month in which they occur. New Year markers are noted in December 2025 and February 2026. If you're not familiar with the concepts of the calendar, the table of contents makes it easy to go back and forth from the calendar to whatever information you're looking for.

New For 2026 What's significantly different in the Fire Horse 2026 Almanac is a new calculation for the daily Flying Stars, passed down to me by a student of Joseph Yu and Raymond Lo. The calculation keys off of the Cycle of 60, the 24 Solar Terms and the Wood Rat days. Mostly the Daily Flying Star numbers will be continuous, traveling either forward or backward, however, due to this new calculation, you’ll see some irregularities. These are not errors. Like life on Earth, there's an occasional bit of chaos within the pattern. One reason that people buy almanacs is that calculating the daily Flying Stars is a time consuming and detailed project. To get this advanced method right requires holding some cognitive dissonance while still following the "rules". I'm curious to see what life might be like at the times when the pattern breaks. For those who are interested, I'm offering two public classes in 2026 for which the Fire Horse 2026 Almanac is the text: Date Selection and Calculating Daily Flying Stars (Two Methods).

The Spirit of the Year The illustrations of the Fire Horse Almanac are meant to reassure and remind us of what is helpful. The color red is protective and signifies good luck. The clouds that sometimes block the light remind us that we don't know everything. The Horse itself, the boss of the year, is a very powerful beast capable of angelic rescues. Given care and direction, the Horse will help your cause. Lacking direction or care, the Horse may not find a clear path and their actions can be self-destructive or self-sacrificial. To add auspiciousness, I've included images of angels, the Chinese Oracular Script for Fire ( ), and the rare Cyrillic letter called Multiocular O ( ) is at the bottom of each page in the Almanac. Multiocular O is a stylized image of a Biblically accurate angel. It can be translated as a phrase from a Greek hymn as "many eyed seraphim" or Σεραφείμ πολυόμματα. All of these symbols are meant to invoke divine protection for anyone who sees them, but moreso to remind us to watch out for each other. We are invited by the light and fire of the year to learn that freedom comes from being part of a group that moves together.

The second part of the Almanac is one year of the Gregorian calendar overlaid with the Chinese Astrology framework used for forecasting and date selection. This is a lunisolar calendar - following lunar and solar cycles at the same time.

My site was born in a 亥 Pig year, now it's a 巳 Snake year so it was time for a renovation! Going with the clash is usually the way to go.

The biggest change is probably the number of classes you can schedule.
