It is alarming how easily and quickly misinformation becomes “fact”. Very concerning that those in positions of power can so easily be swayed by a sensational headline or social media post that is not grounded in evidence.

His films certainly impacted my youth. I got my kids to watch stand by me recently and they loved it just as much as I did, even though they saw it through a different lens. That is the mark of a classic that will endure.

It is a horrible post. I hate even giving any weight to it and feel awful that a grieving family has to see it. It would be nice to all share our favorite movie clips (I bet we all have one) and focus on the impact his movies had on each of us.

Yep. I honestly am less worried about him wallpapering the Oval Office with these then the people that are handing them out.

It’s ok if you just to prefer to be there but it sounds like you are feeling stuck. Do you have someone who can be there with you or help you open the door?

Thank you for sharing your adventures. These days my social media feed is distressing and your posts are a much needed reminder that there is still so much beauty, adventure and history waiting to be discovered around the next corner. I appreciate the effort you put into sharing these places.

Pretty much sums up most of the internet these days. Everyone is backed into their corner, scrolling complex issues distilled down to a headline and weighing in with the snarkiest, catchiest comment as likes equate to connection. We need more real discussion.
