Holy smokes almost 15 years ago I heard @mattfraction.bsky.social talk about this story and it stayed with me, found out about Paul Fischer’s book(from 10yrs ago)on it and thought it told a gripping story from the Cold War era

Im a huge @emmartian.bsky.social fan and I think Anzuelo is a really special book. Read it and kept thinking about it so I reread it like a day later. Full watercolors really add to the surreal story and the angst to understanding arcs in this book are really lovely.

Read @galegalligan.bsky.social Fresh Start, really heart filled storytelling, a true sickos sense of comics pacing. Parts made me laugh out loud and others would make me go-ooohfff. 5stars

We’ve been making our way through the Godzilla Showa era Criterion box set and Godzilla vs Hedorah really stands out as a film super close to House(1977) Animation fx, editing that goes from horror to silly in a heartbeat
