Every time something like this happens, I am reminded due process matters even in a flawed and unequal justice system. Law-enforcement officers are not the justice system. And part of their job is to deal with the public. It’s striking, how many of these people lead with cowardice and blood thirst.

IMO the most effective way to protest oil wars, regime change wars, foreign interventions, etc. is to eliminate our dependency on oil.
Carpool to work, ride your bike, get an EV.
Reduce your gas consumption w energy efficient windows, heat pump, electric stoves, go solar.
Also reduce plastic use.

Trump’s order to deploy Texas National Guard troops to Chicago is illegal, immoral, and must be stopped by the courts. ICE is already wreaking havoc in our communities. Let’s call this what it is: an invasion by out-of-state troops coming here only with the purpose of tormenting Chicagoans.
