A successful businessman once said something like "I'd rather be well-off and paying taxes in a beautiful country where the vulnerable are cared for and people are content than be a rich man living in a run-down country in a mansion surrounded by slums and suffering." That really resonated with me.

Not sure where I stand on this. Any country that invites Putin to attempt to convince him that he must call a ceasefire - is that inviting extremism if there's the slightest chance that you could help or maybe learn something useful in stopping the war in Ukraine?
