She did find a job within walking distance, thank god, but now that she has work (min wage, PT hours where he's a GM of a car dealership) he doesn't give her any money for the kids' activities, food, clothes, school supplies, hot lunches, field trips, or gas for the van. She can't save up to leave 😔

friend of mine is in a similar situation. Her husband wouldn't give her any money unless she was begging for it for the children and he kept saying 'just get a job' but when she went out to apply for work, he would tell her that she wasn't allowed to use the van he was paying for to get there.

My sister got this from the CEO of her work after he tried to get her to cut her maternity leave short as he didn't adequately plan to have her position filled for her time away. When she said no- bcuz she was still on the waiting list for daycare- he told her to 'enjoy the rest of (her) vacation'
