I read "old" fic ALL the time, because while it was new and hot I was immersed in writing my dissertation (what can I say? I'm no @clairegregoryau.bsky.social). Now I'm catching up, and loving it all. I rarely comment, but I leave kudos all the time--and now you've inspired me to comment more often!

Agreed--to some extent, they're ALL security threats. It's just interesting how the media so willingly memory-holed the actual instigating incident of the "TikTok is a threat" claim.

(As you know), TikTok is no more of a security threat than Facebook or "X" or any other social media. Trump made the decision to ban it after TikTok kids snapped up free tickets to one of his 2016 rallies in order to leave him yammering to an empty arena. 100% thin-skinned spite and nothing else.
