It’s def getting better but I STILL had to give my little soap box speech to a few parents and teachers at the book fair last week who lamented their kids “only” want to read graphic novels

I think it reminds me that we all want to belong and feel a connection w/someone. And to have patience and love in my heart for those most troublesome of trouble bunnies

That stinks! It can already be a lonely profession with only one of us per bldg. I know I’m dreading some of my fellow librarians retiring in a few years

I’ve been the librarian in my bldg for 13 years so when I’m weeding, if I haven’t ever seen the book before that moment, it’s not circulating. Sometimes it just needs to be put on display but a lot of the time, it’s just not what the kids want anymore

I’m doing some heavy weeding too and it is so smart to have your vendors carts open & ready to go for gap filling!
