What inspired you two to try it out?
Mastodon truly doesn't feel that different to me. I like it because there are much better apps (Ivory, Mammoth, etc) than the BlueSky app. Plus if I don't like one server I can move to a different one and keep all my followers

It really depends on what instance you are on. I can't speak to any of them being more performant just because I am on my own instance. But there are much better mobile apps for getting on Mastodon than the BlueSky app 😛

There have been a lot of nudist that have moved here to blue sky. But it isn’t that much different than Twitter. There are different places on the fediverse (Mastodon) where you can post non sexual nudity without any issue. One is body.social. I follow a lot of people that are on there.

There have been a lot of nudist that have moved here to blue sky. But it isn’t that much different than Twitter. There are different places on the fediverse (Mastodon) where you can post non sexual nudity without any issue. One is body.social. I follow a lot of people that are on there.
Yeah I don’t get why more naturists don’t ditch their shoes. I’ve actually been running without shoes off and on for about a year now. You’d be surprised how quickly your skin thickens to protect your feet.

We have been to the north coast several times, the furthest south we have been is Florence, but we like exploring so I'm sure we will check it out at some point!

We just moved to northeast Oregon. I’ll have to check out the southern coast next summer that shot is gorgeous.

The depths are very reminiscent of Nausicaä if not inspired by them. It would be interesting to have some sort of respirator management in the game.

I think the biggest difference is discoverability. To me at this point they are synonymous. Mastodon / Fediverse means you have to curate your own connections but if you are on a good instance that usually gets covered for you.

I feel like there is a lot more freedom on the fediverse than on walled garden social networks. Any instance of the fediverse can interact with another if there are no moderation issues.

I read your article as I’m subscribed to the RSS feed. Have you looked at using the fediverse / Mastodon as a replacement to Twitter? There are Naturist specific instances there. I can think of two right now:
