Every other week we witness another serious case of human rights abuse in Serbia. In shackles to a funeral, tied to a hospital bed, threatened with rape... The police brutality knows no bounds. We are all Bogdan. We are all Nikolina. We are all Luka. And we will keep on fighting!

A recent police report about the last 9 months says that there have been 23,373 unregistered public gatherings.

Over 23 thousand! More than 12 thousand of those included blocking the traffic.

That's 86 gatherings (44 blockades) per day.

For 9 months.

Confession of a lawyer from Valjevo Amor the protests and police brutality these days

On the 12th of August during protests in Bačka Palanka and Vrbas, protesters were attacked by the police and SNS (ruling party) supporters. Attackers used fireworks and/or threw wrenches, rocks or frozen bottles.

Multiple protests were scheduled for this week, yet three snap protests happened:
• in Bačka Palanka, citizens were *surrounded* by police
• in Vrbas, SNS supporters threw rocks and fireworks at protesters; a journalist was hit
• in Novi Sad light conflicts with the police

Protests in Serbia scheduled for the upcoming week:
• 4 protests in Belgrade
• 1 protest in Novi Sad
• 2 protests in Niš
