Finally finished Revelation with the homegroup and boy was it worth it to lay out my interpretation of Revelation as a vision of hope for the oppressed amidst the systems of evil in the world and of the better world we can build once they're overthrown (possibly by violence).

Bit miffed by something my daughter told me this morning. Apparently on Saturday at whatever PHSE might now be called (possibly just that) they learned about protected characteristics and the teacher asked the to list the ones they thought were most important. 1/3

Watching Frankenstein and I'm not sure what had delighted me more so far: the costumes, the cinematography or the surreal yet perfect use of the Wallace Monument.

Went for lunch at a coffee place and now I'm sleepy. Clearly this is a consequence of my killer 4 hour shift and not my food and beverage choices. 😅

Well, that turned out to very interesting. I nearly had a panic attack and someone attending had a possible psychotic episode and loudly hurled obscenities at everyone... but somehow, after all that, I think it went quite well. 😅
So anxious about tonight now. Now I see all the people here I'm very aware of the possibility of offending and people-pleasing, conflict averse me can't quite cope with that possibility.
But I'm committed and Open Table is about authenticity... they're getting what they're getting.

Gah! Google docs has decided I can't open *and* edit my service document on my phone so I can't write my reflection in it. I know I can just create a new document and write it in that - and I will do - but I've wasted a lot of time host trying to work out why it doesn't work! 😭

Looking for queer remembrance videos on YouTube and whilst the new GBN vid the site promoted and told me had 813 viewers was completely inappropriate, I was amused that it was entitled Remembrance Sunday | Sunday 2nd November.
It means so much to them they can't even get the date right!

My head and heart are heavy with the those we know little of, but who served and died with their true selves secret, some just to keep that secret, or who survived the same way, because society had consequences and shame for people like them.
