Happy birthday!

By the way, I am really happy that you started Postcrossing! I hope you will get some great experiences with it. I started out in 2010 and then stopped in 2012 for many years due to changes in my life. Happy that I have picked it back up in August!

I took my time to write a response, explaining that PostNL has changed the price of the stamps in July and since the stamps labelled 1 and 2 are without indication of their value, you don't have to put extra stamps on an envelope or so. I use these ones: shop.postnl.nl/webshop/post...

We no longer have stamps that indicate their value (they are labelled as 1 or 2), so I initially thought they might think I had put a 1 euro stamp on it. Then I thought that they might be a stamp collector and didn't like the stamp. But now I think they think I have put the wrong stamp on the card.

They checked the website of PostNL and copied a text about what stamp to put on the envelope or card when sending it within the Netherlands. So I think they thought I put the wrong stamp on it? That is not possible, because I have my International stamps with my postcards for Postcrossing.

I got a response and I am not 100% sure, but combined with the first message I think the recipient was confused by the stamp. It is an International stamp but also has in big letters 'NEDERLAND' on it. It also has the number 1 on it. Those are the stamps you use for postcards and letters until 20gr.

Ah, that is a pity. I always try to take my time to write a response to the card I receive.

No comment about the card itself or the story I wrote. It was a short message with a thanks, and saying that the stamp was of low value. I think they don't like the regular stamps that are used for international mail; they promote the Netherlands. I have asked what they meant, because I am curious.
