Ok, anyone struggling with creativity in today's world needs to read this one. Never Say You Can't Survive by @charliejane.bsky.social has some of the best writing advice I've read and I can't wait to use it in my own stories.

If I can't write, I might as well bake.

Wow. I did not realize how much I needed to read @yumewrites.bsky.social Saltcrop until I reached the end. This book showcases the power of siblings while also offering hope amid trying times. Highly recommend it!

It's mid-November, and this sucker's still trying to bloom. Gotta admire its tenacity.

This one seems fitting for today. If you're looking for a fun romp featuring Korean folklore, banned book clubs, fighting fascism, and kick*ss grannies, try this read.
(Tho I suggest reading No Rules Tonight if you want a better understanding of the main characters)

I have a lot of mixed feelings about #SAO but I really like this #manga It focuses on Asuna's PoV, which I love, and Her yuri bond with Yuuki is really sweet, too.

@marthawells.com this passage really resonated with me. It feels like we're in this moment right now, an unsustainable system collapsing in on itself, and like #Murderbot I'm cautiously optimistic for the future but still worried for the present.

To celebrate #AcePrideWeek I thought I'd show some #manga recs. I found Uta Isaki's Is Love Answer at the library and ended up getting a copy for myself. It's a great jumping-off point for those still figuring out or wanting to know more about ace identities.🤍🩶💜

@mirandamundt.bsky.social agggh this was too freakin good!! Was flying through the pages with my heart racing. So many heartfelt moments and an epic cliffhanger! I have so many plot theories but I won't say them here because spoilers!! #Muted #webcomics #comics #booksky

This big one's been here since yesterday evening. Idk much about bees, but this one is huge, like the size of my thumb, so it might be a queen?
I hope she's okay. More importantly, I hope she doesn't crawl into the screen like the beetles keep doing🫤

Whenever I get my hands on the latest volume of #LoreOlympus I end spending the whole day reading and rereading it bc it's SO FREAKING GOOD! I love everything about this series and all the characters in it (except Apollo. Apollo needs a punch in the face.)

Spent my whole evening yesterday reading @naominovik.bsky.social The Summer War and...wow✨️☺️✨️
It feels like a fairy tale but it also shares the same flavor as Arthurian legends. Beautiful.

My cat likes to sleep with his face smushed against the seat and I'm like, how is that comfortable??

Amid everything that's been going on in the world, I keep thinking about this book. It's not a cureall, but it does have an important message: don't give up.
We're in the dark times, but we have to keep singing.

I really, really like Martha Wells' work. And I now see why Muderbot got so much hype. I love snarky first person narrators and the MC, an introverted, socially-anxious robot, is pretty relatable.
