A podcast exploring and celebrating the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.

COMING SOON TO A GALAXY NEAR YOU ….
I’ve been reading some of the post-Endor Star Wars novels. Absolutely loved the Aftermath trilogy but I admit, I’m finding Last Shot a little difficult to get into.

Should I keep pushing on with it? Otherwise, I am thinking of moving back into the high republic for a little while.

Thoughts?

I love The Force Awakens and I love The Last Jedi. But sometimes I just needs that Star Wars roller coaster pulpy-awesomeness hitting me.

Sometimes I need …

And so it begins. The Star Wars grift-o-verse has wrung every last dollar of sequel hate from the algorithm. Now they’re moving onto The Mandalorian, hoping to strike gold once more.

Star Wars Visions : BLACK.

Holy shit! WTF is going on with this?S rush of movement, art, and emotion. Still gathering my thoughts about it but, fucking WOW! The definition of a weird, esoteric, tone poem. It’s like a film student Lucas short film using Star Wars iconography.

Simply magnificent!

The Smuggler was such a fun Star Wars story. And just like the original film, it tells a full and exciting story while also setting up the possibility of further adventures.

The thing I love most about Visions is that it expands the Star Wars galaxy in a way nothing else has. Little vignettes of a different part of the universe that incorporates all the themes and ideas but with new takes.

After responding in good faith to a post inviting people to comment a movie they love with a poor RT score, I was summarily blocked by the user.

Yes, you have every right to do that, but surely the “safe-space” implied in the invitation is negated by the immediate blocking.

Online culture sucks

“Kathleen Kennedy and Shawn Levy were in the closet making Amy Adams a Jedi and I saw one of the Jedis and Mara Jade looked at me.”

Hey there. I’m from Western Australia and have loved Star Wars since I was given an ESB read-along in 1980.

I love all the Star Wars and can’t wait for the sequel renaissance (which is coming)

Favourites:

Skywalker: Rey
Quip: “Would it help if I got out and pushed?”
Thing: Millennium Falcon

Is there an entertainment writer with less understanding of modern Star Wars than Ben Child?

His latest clickbait argues no.

How many errors you can find?

Unfortunately, we live in times where the worst people in the world are increasingly emboldened to act in terrible ways.

A magnificent, balls-to-the-wall Star Wars movie with all the goofy, clumsy, heart filled, action packed, space operatic adventure awesomeness turned to 11!

When did you first fall in love with Star Wars?

For me it was 1980

So, anyway …

Rey restores ultimate balance through the Skywalkers.

Anakin is still the Chosen One.

The prophecy remains fulfilled. 👍

Love these bikes.

I’m pretty sure they were partly inspired by these. A lot of striking similarities.

They were originally designed as concepts for the AT-AT, then adapted into toys released as part of the Empire Strikes Back mini-fleet back in 1980/81.

Here is my favourite moment from each of the Star Wars Sequels.

Just realised they tell their own linear story.
