Sapient, given they know how to build proper infrastructure, and are capable of expressing themselves through things like artistic carvings and horrible little songs using chitters and screeches. I haven’t given much thought to their overall social structure yet though.

The closest they ever get to being friendly is having bugs and spiders as pets. Anything bigger than them is immediately registered as an enemy, a plaything, or food.

They rapidly swarm other creatures and eat them down to the bone - in most cases. In others, they might trap and imprison some creatures and wild animals and then sic them on each other, as a gladiatorial arena sport. They’re smart and resourceful, but also horrendous little bastards.
