92. Tehanu (1990)
Masterwork honestly. The kind of book I will be thinking about for the rest of my life. A follow up to the original 'trilogy' that really elevates everything the series has done up to this point.

89. A Wizard of Earthsea (1968)
90. The Tombs of Atuan (1971)
91. The Farthest Shore (1972)
Talking about all three below.

88. Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance (2002)
Just a real gut punch of a story. Perhaps, revenge is not the way to get back what you lost. But also what else are you supposed to do.

87. Frankenstein (2025)
Absolutely gorgeous film, the visuals in this movie are masterful. Definitely a worthwhile watch.

86. Dead Space (2023)
Felt a lot like playing what you would hope the perfect version of the game you remembered in your head would be. It was nice to revisit a classic like this even though it wasn't as tense or scary as I remember the original being.

85. Ladyhawke (1985)
Charming little fantasy adventure. Not much to say about it but I enjoyed it.

84. The Priory of the Orange Tree (2019)
I am going to be thinking about this book a lot. This book haunts me. I am going to be picking apart this story and what it does and how it does it for a very, very long time. And it is not because I enjoyed this book. Oh not at all.

83. Bamboozled (2000)
You know. Spike Lee really went all in on what he was doing here and uh, not sure I'm the person to evaluate how effective it was, but he had a message to get across and he made sure you fucking felt it for that whole damn movie.

82. The Skirt Sings at the Landing (2020)
Charming yuri about two girls in a ballroom dance club learning about opening up to each other on and off of the dance floor. Just published its final chapter recently and while it's nothing that's going to shake up the genre it was still enjoyable.

81. BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! (2023)
Didn't really hit its stride until the very end, otherwise a pretty typical girls band anime. Anon Chihaya is some kind of bug to me.

80. Ghostwatch (1992)
Incredibly solid execution on a premise. The amount of restraint taken by the director to not indulge in almost any amount of spectacle really adds to the feeling they were going for.

79. X Cross (2007)
This movie is so "movies really were like this in the mid-2000s" in the absolute best way possible. It is such a fun movie. Scissors girl rules.

78. I, Madman (1989)
Kind of a less exciting and smaller scope In The Mouth of Madness but I liked the ways it blended the 'fiction' and reality within the setting. Had a good time.

77. Scooby_Doo Camp Scare (2010)
Ended up hanging out in a discord call double feature of this and The Crow, fun little movie.

76. Lake Mungo (2008)
Excellently crafted experience that really lands what it's going for. It manages to really make you think for a second it's authentic. There's a certain level of restraint to it as well that really goes a long way.

75. Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc (2025)
Honestly really mixed on this one. There's so many sequences that are well done, and then a lot of other moments that felt odd or just didn't land for me. Overall a good time, and I hope season 2 of the show learns the right lessons from what they tried here.

74. The Crow (1994)
Everything about it is perfectly balanced to make all of the weird, or grimy, or atmospheric, or campy, or heartfelt, or rough around the edges elements work together so that even the parts that would feel like flaws in other films are part of the charm.
Also it kicks ass.

73. I Want to Make the Black Knight Fall in Love With Me! (2024)
Fantasy yuri about a noblewoman marrying the mysterious and scary black knight to try and save her noble status. Mad that publication got cancelled at only 17 chapters even if it wasn't pushing the genre in bold new directions.

72. Egg (2005)
Watched this in like 480p off youtube and it was great. Bizarre lower budget horror movie that I did not want to look away from the whole time. There is no documentation on the creative process behind that I could find which makes it even more fascinating.

71. House on Haunted Hill (1999)
A sort of worse Thir13en Ghosts in a lot of ways, though with a very different premise. Has some fun moments, really cool design for a Evil Entity at the end.

Moon (2009)
Really simple kind of bottle episode of a movie that does the premise well. Has some interesting notes to the concepts it's built on that you might not always expect from stories that do similar things.

69. Tom Walker's Modded "Fast GTA 4" Expereince (2024)
Even though I only watched the edited down uploads it still felt like a truly compelling journey. One man fighting his way through an unpredictable world, where at any second he could be instantly killed by a car traveling at max speed.
