If I'm going to start using this, might as well do a basic intro.

Just a guy with a huge collection of video, board, and tabletop games combined with a cripplingly low amount of free time.

Thoroughly enjoy factory builders, JRPGs, and modded Minecraft.

Feel free to say hi!
Oh, hey, I realized I've been hella silent here lately. Life's been crazy and I've mostly been keeping my head above water. All good, just more drained than expected!

First proper Friday I've had off in a while. Lengthy massage appointment, chiropractor appointment, and haircut planned for today. The lack of self care has been real and it's time to try and reverse that.

Damnit, Nintendo, you can't just announce Xenoblade Chronicles X dropping in a month when I haven't finished XC3 yet.

I sense some dad mode binging in my future.

Get a cold. Crash early last night. Wake up after 8 hours. Call out from work. Crash for yet another 8 hours.

0/10 do not recommend getting sick.

... Red, White, And Blueland? Really?

The dumbest timeline, I swear.

Not finishing games because they're boring? Nah.

Not finishing games because you took such a long break that you feel obligated to start over so you can remember the plot? That's my favorite trick.

So long, 20 hour save file.

I was completely unaware that the Fabula Ultima GM Toolkit came with a GM screen. I've never had one before. Feels like I've somehow leveled up in tabletop hobbies.

I love when I get a call that one book has arrived only to find that both came in when I go to pick up the order.

Day has been made.

Given the state of the US? This feels accurate.

In a bit of good tabletop news, not only is the Techno Fantasy Atlas for Fabula Ultima slated to arrive at my Friendly Local Game Store, but I came across a fan-made Low Fantasy Atlas that looks pretty nifty.

Still need to find/make a group for it, but I'm excited nonetheless!

The age old question of, "Can it run Doom?" just got weird.
Protect Your Site With A DOOM Captcha
We all know that “Can it run DOOM?” is the first question of a hardware hacker. The 1993 first person shooter from id Software defined an entire genre of games, and has since been made …

December 31st just feels different right now.

All three boys just got a plethora of new toys last week.

Today, they're having a blast dropping their car collection down a ramp they made out of a tube.

Bit of an unexpected reminder to appreciate the mundane things from time to time. I can't complain.

If I had a nickel for every Humble Bundle tabletop offering I picked up because the charity supported Asheville post-Helene, I'd have two nickels.

Isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Got my Nintendo Year In Review.

Way less time for the year than I expected, but still fun!

100% relatable.
I will never finish my #ttrpg backlog.

Got to see @audettef.bsky.social for service this morning. Always a good experience. 10/10 would go again.

Hold up.

One Deck Dungeon is getting another expansion AND a fleshed-out Abyssal Troves?

Sign me the hell up. ODD is fantastic.

Suno recently updated its AI algorithms to a new version and gave all users a free use of its Remaster feature.

Holy crap, the difference in vocal quality is staggering - and it already had some decent results beforehand. Looks like I'll be expanding my personal music catalogue some more.

Ordered the Nyxi Hyperion Pro controller for the Switch and it just came in. I had no idea just how buttery smooth the Hall Effect thumb sticks would be and it's glorious.

Went to UU service today, but ended up hanging out in the baby/toddler room with my boys due to folks being out.

Turns out that one of the other parents that came in was a guy I played Dungeon World with one time years ago.

I can't complain about the small world moment!

Bouncing between "I've got my shit together" and "I'm not good at anything" for the past few days has been wild. Thankfully stabilizing in a good head space.

Mental health is wild, y'all.

Filtering the cranberry apple shrub now! Hopefully it's turned out alright.

"Hon, I'm gonna spend $8 on a new game."
"You already have plenty of games already!"
"We Love Katamari is on Nintendo's Black Friday Sale."

Both of us INSTANTLY start humming the theme song.

I haven't even launched it yet and it's already $8 well spent.
