Being in the UK, I don't think it was broadcast here that he'd died. I too was 16 that year and only learned he'd died when I saw his memoriam at the end of The Negotiator in the July.
27 years next month and it still feels wrong he's not here...

I'd love to know more about his theatre roles! I sadly never saw him on stage, which I'll always feel sad about. Born at the wrong time!

I remember seeing The Negotiator in the cinema in the July after he died. We didn't have internet and I don't think it had been reported on UK news, so when hiss memoriam came up at the end I was devastated.
