Text reads: Another fireworks goes off. Blue this time, mixed with purple. The two stare at each other. Mo Ran can see the hurt in Chu Wanning’s eyes. Fragile, Xue Zhengyong said when they first arrived in the Capitol. Chu Wanning is fragile from watching his tributes die. Mo Ran scoots closer so they're sitting right next to each other. Chu Wanning is freezing cold. He leans on him, resting his head on Chu Wanning’s shoulder. He watches another firework go off in the distance. It rises and explodes in small bursts, forming the shape of a star. “I saved it to share with you though.” Chu Wanning hesitates before taking the chocolate from Mo Ran’s open palm. “I'm going to miss you,” Mo Ran said. “I was serious when I said you're one of the best things that happened to me. I'm not mad I volunteered.” Chu Wanning nibbles on the chocolate. He looks cute taking small bites to savor it, a little gift from his tribute. His cheeks are pink from the cold air. Mo Ran rests his head on his shoulder again and yawns. “Was it true?” Chu Wanning asks. “Was what true?” “What… what you said in your interview?” Mo Ran is silent as another burst of fireworks whizzes into the air and explodes. “Yeah.”
