Overall, it seems nice to me. Hopefully updates make it work with more Flashcarts, add jailbreak rom loading, and flesh out some of the more detailed menu items. And hopefully people will find reason to talk about some of the great N64 games again.

Also, Rerez was the only one to focus on four player games for the overclock features because he’s not a loser and has friends (or at least paid coworkers) unlike the rest of us. Better performance 4 player split screen will be worthwhile for a lot of people.

Some explained that the system doesn’t internally scale the polygons to 4k and one or two people hoped that might come later. Again, it will not. If this is something you want this decade, software emulation is the answer for you. But Rerez again gave some good examples of the trade offs. Good job.

Cartridge slot seems better this time around but you know they never read as well as the original consoles and I never understand why. Still, most aren’t as bad as the NES one. Game Sack mentioned a snug fit for recent unlicensed games but they did work.

The amount of inaccuracy there will add up to only seconds in a long play. You won’t notice it while playing. It’s just another stab in the marketing beasts that say it’s 100% accurate and not emulation.

Some folks mentioned that only “zero delay” mode is enabled this time. That means it outputs 60hz always even though the original console was fifty nine point something. Try pointed at this means it’s never speedrunners accurate and Reyes even demonstrated it with Beetle Adventure Racing. Nice.
