Ran an ultramarathon today with Phoneix Running, half paved, half trail, rather muddy in places after the 60mm of rain yesterday. Ran 45seconds walked 45seconds.

Easy group social ride. An actual road bike today, not a mtb or single speed, got the carbon roadie for one last time before winter, even wore cycle shoes for a change 🤭 SPD with pedals flat one side, lets not get carried away 🤣 7 days until i attempt a short ultra marathon 😬😱

Bedford Nov Half marathon. Been faster, also been a lot slower. Stuck with 2hr pacer for 7miles, then slowed a little, but overall fitness is improving. 10th in my age group chip time 2hrs 8 minutes

Jogged 6 miles last night with running club. This morning ran/walked approximately one loop of Sundays upcoming half marathon route. Right leg hurting, not overly worried, ive had physio on a weaker left leg, think its compensating, will take it easy till Sunday.

Sunset run on day clocks went back, what was supposed to be a 5k jog and a walk back downhill turned into a 10k.

30k trail run today, not bad as I wasn’t sure i would manage a half marathon at the start of Sept and chose to enter a 10k

Just ran a trail half marathon distance with 800ft of climbing, whilst carrying a pack, and maintaining a low average heart rate rate, furthest i have run for 13months, fitness slowly returning, not bad for a 54 year old.

First park run for a bit jogged there 1.5 miles slow start slowly sped up, fast finish. Then sprinted 400metres (watch paused 🙄🙁) to talk to some CyclingUk cyclists before they set off, I am a new member, will probably cycle with them next week. Joined Trail Running Association when i got home too.😁

Today did a trail ride mountain bike commute to work, straight after work did a 4.5 mile trail run with 300ft of climbing, then jumped straight back on mountain bike and raced off home, running out of steam and taking it easy about 1 mile later..

36 hrs after longish trail runs, dawn 5k, started fast, pushed hard, then listened to body and dialled it down.

Yesterday’s trail run commute to work, was planning on run/walk home, but was motivated by offer of free food and beer at a family pub lunch to get a move on. New trail running pack is great.

Cycled 13miles on a single speed at 6:45am to sign on for a 5mile road run “Bedford Charity Chase” which was wet cycled home it was very wet on the return.

At my allotment today, bodged my plastic greenhouse up again with gorilla tape, its lasted 3 years so far, cut hazelnut back ready for making more wattle windbreaks, harvested last of summer squashes, tended to winter veg

Bedford Running Festival, ran Twilight 10k last night in one hour. Fastest I have run since last winter, fitness slowly returning, but right decision not to enter half marathon this morning instead.
