Soothsayer. Sunny disposition. Loves politicians. Totally gets social media & woke people. Likes facts. Honest, despite being told I'm a "lying old politi-hack".
this advert appears on the webpage of my local paper here in New Zealand. Who are these people kidding?

Noble sentiment. Good luck getting the Gummint to amend the Charities Act 2005 = can of worms. And you'll need to be clear about what you want them to do. Is it:
(a) remove only Density Church's charitable status? (How?)
(b) remove charitable status from all religious institutions? (Why?)

Reminds me of Garden Lodge in Logan Place, West Kensington, London. Freddie Mercury's home in the 1980s. I worked just down the road. This was the unassuming gate in the high surrounding wall after he died:

She's grading him for being a clever player of the political game, not for being an accomplished leader of policy.
Gallery reporters concentrate on the game, not the governing, because it's the easy way to reach their daily word quota.

For motor vehicles, double roundabout systems work well enough in places like Johnsonville. But the design for Warkworth fails to apply lessons learned; desire line crossings are good for pedestrians, but cyclists need dedicated infrastructure too. Shared paths in this situation are a bad idea.

Luxon's invisible handicap: no imagination.

Agreeing to Rimmer's Treaty Principles Bill:
-- tactically smart because he got a coalition, but
-- strategically stupid because he couldn't imagine Maori being organised and dedicated enough to achieve what they did today. #nzpol
