one of my coworkers once asked me if i had ever added it all up to determine how much of my life was taken up by commuting. it was more than a month per year.

ha! yeah, that brought back memories. of both the show and my commute.

I assume you mean the route he takes. My own commute was pretty hilarious when i lived in chicago, but that was mainly because i lived on the north side and worked in hyde park. There were at least 7 different combinations of buses trains and walks i could use, but it was always an hour and a half.

I've been reading Hannah Arendt, which has the same effect for me.
