If they are comfortable in their skin as trans people that is good. I support people feeling positive about themselves but for truths sake please stop the myth that women can biologically become men and men can biologically become women.

There is a difference in gender (sex) and gender identity. Identifying as a woman although a man is different from being a woman. I support everyone’s right to exist trans or whatever but I support a true woman’s right to be a woman. Real women should be cherished.

I do believe there are people who feel as if they are women trapped in a man’s body. But nothing, surgery, hormones, etc., can make a man a woman. I was glad to see the young woman in California track meet stand on the #1 podium where she should have been.

Anyone, male or female, that supports trans-women in women’s sports is anti-women. Title IX was to make women equal in the number of sports. It does not cover persons who have to put the “trans” qualifier in front of the word “woman”.

I am pleased you are happy. Everyone needs happiness and I am not trying to put anyone in danger. I also am not pretending to know better than you. You are living a life that I never will know. As I said in my previous post I just want to try to understand both sides of the issue.

I am sincerely asking these questions because I am a very analytical person that wants to understand both sides of the issue. I am not posing a gotcha question nor will I use answers for any reason other than to understand how you and others feel. Thanks in advance for sincere answers.

The same question applies to biologically intersex persons. Can they choose to change to male or female only on a biological level?

I agree that everyone has rights to be treated fairly no matter sex, gender or identity but I do not believe that biological men should be seen as women. Nor do I believe biological females should be seen as men.
Again, that does not mean they should not have rights all others do.

Hormones will change facial hair, fat locations, voice, etc. but hormones, or surgery cannot change biology in the end.

I also discussed intersex with people from both sides. Everyone agreed that male, female and intersex occur biologically in nature. Intersex being a very small percentage in nature. All agreed trans is a chosen identity not biologic. It is based in gender dysphoria, which is mental health based.

I assume you have the belief that biological females can transition to biological male and vice versa. May I ask what gives you the confidence that can take place? I do not deny gender dysphoria but that does not change men to women and vice versa. People can/do identify as many things they are not.

A person can identify and live in a manner in which they feel but make identifying as female or female as male does not physically and biologically make you what you identify as. Again, I do not deny the existence of gender dysphoria but that is different issue than how one chooses to identify.

She was a progressive person defending trans people. She was simply how many successful sex change operations had been performed, male to female/female to male, and she succinctly stated none.

Yes I have spoken with trans people and I know gender dysphoria has to be difficult to live with. I do not deny the issue.
The doctor appeared at the congressional hearings during the Biden admin. I am sorry I cannot remember her name but she was a very well spoken educated doctor.

If Lia, and other trans, male or female stop taking the hormones their body will try to return to the sex it was when born. If they had transition surgery then they would just be surgically altered versions of their original self. Even progressive scientists say humans can’t go from male to female.

To me it’s not where Lia Thomas, or anyone else, finished. It’s about the young biological woman that lost the chance to be an all-American, after spending her life training and competing, because a biological male, Lia Thomas, decided to identify as a female. Lia is not female and never will be.

Just thought I would ask a question. I know we are on different ends of the spectrum but again I always try to at least get perspective from all sides. If you want to answer thoughtfully please do. I am not looking to change your thoughts. Just trying to understand. Thanks

Ok. So what you are saying is that when you are a biological male and you take female hormones, or female taking male hormones, your body permanently transitions to the sex that corresponds with the hormones you take? What happens when you stop taking the hormones?

I don’t care who people love, have relations with or how they identify. I do have one question about the women’s sports issue and transgender females. Is the statement “Men participating in women’s sports” an oxymoron? Biological males cannot change to biological females.
