Color gradients to indicate motion in static image:

Shape alone can convey direction.

However, when a gradient is introduced, the impression of motion it creates becomes the dominant signal.

Which gradient pattern do you find most effective, the teardrop (left) or the comet (right)?

I used the 2022 accident data from the NHTSA FARS data to find the square mile in the US with the most fatal traffic accidents.

It is in Atlanta, Georgia. There were 11 fatal accidents in that single square mile.
