Senna versus Schumacher
@sennavsschumi.bsky.social
What if Ayrton #Senna had survived #Imola & taken on Michael #Schumacher for the 1994 #F1 title?

Or Gilles #Villeneuve Zolder '82? Alberto #Ascari Monza '55?

Read it in 'Senna versus Schumacher And Other Formula One Rivalries That Never Happened'
F1 cars need more lines/stripes length-wise. Makes them look a whole lot better than all the vertical and diagonal stuff.

I'm team Team Numbers.

Aston Martin–Honda should be 14+15 next year. 😎

At the time, the dude on the right wasn't thought to be the fastest of this threesome, was he?

Was that the furthers away from F1 that they could stick him? 🫢

And, again, marvellous stories. Thanks!

Four rings. Who would've thought. 🤣

A bit like Cadillac, that: main sponsor of the Andretti team running Ferrari engines. 😄

Its "bland identity" you mean. I suspect (hope?) that it'll be something a little bit more exciting come 2026.

Great article. Read it back in the day, and good to see it again.

What's great about Räikkönen 2007, too, compared to some of the other entries, is that it was a straight fight, i.e. no drivers hurt, like in 1976 and 1982.

I was rooting for Massa that day, and "Is that Glock?" was never in my vocabulary since I watched Dutch TV, but regardless of the outcome: a WDC decided in the final race, the final lap, even the final corner is a great championship in my book.

No, they sponsored Sauber from 1995, but I've always understood Red Bull were a personal sponsor for Gerhard Berger in the mid-1980s.

True indeed. Although one could argue that the other three disappointed in some way: yes, they won some 60 Grands Prix combined, bot there are 'only' three WDCs for the lot. Could (should) have been more, if you ask me. 😄

That is nice!

I love the windows on my Mac, too. 😄

You should try the Indy 500: the last couple of laps always show wife/girlfriend/children picture-in-picture. 🙄

That's quite the mouthful. Was he nobility?
October 13, 2025 at 3:21 PM
I've always wondered why that was (Murray's lump). My assumption would be that it was because he had know Damon all his life, knowing Graham and the family and all that. Is that correct, @thebishf1.bsky.social?

Matt, I've always wondered, is Mosport pronounced Mos-port or Mo-sport?

Moss and Hill shared a birthday? 😳

Old school Ferrari-on-top-with-a-better-engine-at-Monza vibes.

Since IndyCar have different aero specs for their marquee event the Indy 500 (and other super speedways, yes), perhaps F1 should adopt a different rule set for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Ditch front and rear wings, for example. 😄

Your forebears are an amazing lot, Matt. 🤩
