Along with Senator Fort’s children, Mayor Dickens, and other dignitaries, we unveiled the dedication plaque in the historic West End, a fitting commemoration to honor Senator Fort’s life and legacy, truly an inspiration for generations yet to come!

and racial justice, among the many issues he championed. Senator Fort authored Georgia’s Fair Lending Act, later repealed by Republicans. Senator Fort led the way to strengthen Georgia’s hate crimes law. He fought unceasingly to protect working families from foreclosures and evictions.
