An extreme comparison to point out they are controlled to different amounts, I'm not saying public media always tells 100% truth but it's better than others. Unfortunately MSM is still relavent to those in the probably 60+ age range, especially considering what the US has been going through.

So you're saying fox "news" and say Npr are just as trustworthy in your eyes? That they both pick and choose what they say with equal bias?

Because otherwise you get Rupert Murdock and Jeff bezos owning them and controlling what stories come out. It's less prevelant because of the Internet but musk has proved they can buy and control that too.
