Beam me up! My signature is now on the steel beam that will stand at the heart of the new Wisconsin History Center. It will double the size of the former Wisconsin Historical Museum and provide a modern and world-class setting for our State's collections and resources.

I joined Rep. Mike Bare and County Executive Melissa Agard to launch an emergency food drive and stock shelves at Badger Prairie Needs Network. It will take weeks to re-start food assistance for hungry Wisconsinites. It's all hands on deck to combat Trump's cruel and unlawful refusal to fund SNAP.

Thank you Congressman Pocan, Representative Stubbs, Senator Ratcliff, Representative Joers, Representative Mayadev and Representative Udell for coming together against the Trump Administration's cruel and unlawful refusal to fund SNAP, which feeds hungry families, children and seniors.

Sad to say goodbye to Davit Gharibyan, a US State Department Professional Fellow, who has been with my office for a month. His skills are impressive! We have learned much about Armenia including sampling Ararat, an Armenian brandy that has been produced for over 130 years!

There are nine Public Library branches in the beautiful 27th District, including Alicia Ashman on Madison’s West Side, where I stopped in the other day. It’s Library Card Sign-up Month, the perfect time to “check out” our outstanding public libraries.
