And the thing is, I like that Genshin is trying out new things to add to the game. But I can't help but feel like what they're giving is underbaked and lack lustre. And considering that Hoyo is a billion dollar company, they can definitely give more than they are giving the players now.

The designs (not to mention the jet packs and motorcycle) felt modern for a nation that still has tribes and people living in tents and travelling using caravans and hot air balloons. While Fontaine and Sumeru's tech felt natural since those nations are advanced in both tech and academics.

The character designs were good (that I can't deny), but not for the context they're supposed to be in. Mavuika has good design but not for a pyro archon and a god of war. I feel that way about almost every and if not all Natlan characters.

Natlan on the other hand, does not feel as grounded. The archon quest had its potential but it felt like Mihoyo was playing it safe. The story and characters felt rushed. There have been people saying that it felt like Natlan was written at the last minute and I can't help but agree.

(For the lack of a better term) Let that go or at least don't talk about it as much anymore is because Sumeru had a compelling story that still felt like it was connected to the story the Genshin is building up. Over all, Sumeru still felt grounded in the story and world of teyvat

Don't get me wrong, Sumeru was also criticised by the community. The criticisms mainly directed towards the lack of diversity in not only the main cast but also the npcs.

Although that is still a criticism still holds up to this day. The reason as to why majority of the community-
