Will you give a bye if Rage Against The Machine appears to to play Killing In The Name?

It won't happen, but it would be so beautiful.

My great-great-great-grandfather won the Medal of Honor; maybe I'm a heritage American too? (he abandoned his wife and son in England , I'm descended from the abandoned son, and I emigrated from the UK to Canada) (also he won it in the Indian wars no I'm not proud)

I understand dude's name misspelled there; it's actually No-Bill Essayli.

Canada's medical system is low on personnel, and while this nonsense suuuuuuucks for everyone in the States, as a Canadian, it kinda sounds like decent news for us.

Also, a painting is made with paint, and is a physical object. Not a bunch of pixels arranged a certain way.

I'm still trying to teach mine "chill the f out". The old guy mostly has learned it by now, the younger one not so much.

Forgive yourself. I bought from them because they're a one-stop shop for what I needed packaging-wise, even though I didn't agree with the politics of the owners. Then I stopped buying American because I'm Canadian and, well. They'll never stop sending you catalogues though.

One complaint: I want the extended cut where we get ALL the mentions and meanings of hedges in the works of Jane Austen. You know we're the audience for this, don't you?

My feeling is that I paid for a ticket to this venue to observe a sportsball game being played. If I wanted to have loud bursts of music I would instead have gone to a DJ's gig.

I kind of think she thinks she's Hunter Thompson, but has only a passing acquaintance with his writing.

Wendigo got him.

That's what I thought. I live in Canada's timber country and have friends with fabulous scars from working in timber mills; and I think we have better worker safety protocols than the US (could be wrong about that)
December 7, 2025 at 4:14 PM
so, if one sawmill worker was once injured by one tree spike not placed by an environmental activist, is this a poisoned-Hallowe'en-candy moral panic situation?
December 5, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Just listened to the episode entitled Monkeywrench, and I know you're not able to do the journalism right now, but re the sawmill worker injured due to a tree spike: how's the safety record for that sawmill generally around that time? Sawmills are not known for being super safe to work in.

Or do like civilized countries and create actual independent election commissions.

Was Leonard Cohen right? Are the dice loaded, is the war over, is the fight fixed, is that how it goes?

Turkey schnitzel FTW. I buy at least one bird per year just so I can enjoy it, and I am not particularly into roast turkey.

Whether you translate AF as 'as fuck' or, as I often do for my own amusement, 'as foretold', this works.

I feel more troubled when the Judge Oldham, er, fragment whispers back, myself.
November 22, 2025 at 2:08 AM
Judge Oldham has not yet had the opportunity to disrespect the Wu-Tang Clan, but sources say he's preparing to.

Now, now, Unity Mitford existed, so there's competition for that title.
