61 years ago on this day, President Johnson signed legislation which outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. This was monumental to the fight for justice and equality, and I am proud to continue this work against identity based discrimination in Michigan!

Polluters should clean up their messes. It's only fair! Senate Democrats are working to require polluters to pay for pollution they cause instead of leaving it for taxpayers to clean up.

We had a blast at my 2nd annual DNR Walk & Talk. Together with 25 community members (plus 3 dogs), we walked the Waterloo-Pinckney Trail, admired wildflowers, and discussed everything from ecosystems to park funding to legislation. Thank you to the amazing DNR staff! 🌳🌸🍄🪱🌲
