The Putnam CAP helps over 400 families in Putnam County each month.

I spoke with Director Marisa O’Leary about how the state and community can support their vital work. They need volunteers and financial donations; every bit helps.

During #NationalSchoolLunchWeek, let’s remember: well-nourished students learn better.

That’s why I worked with my colleagues and the Governor to secure $360M for NY’s Universal School Meal Program, guaranteeing a nutritious breakfast and lunch for all 2.7M of our students.

Thank you to WE ACT 4 Change for inviting me to join last night’s webinar on advancing climate initiatives in New York.

Despite federal rollbacks, we are making real progress statewide and preparing for another critical legislative session ahead.

Wishing a meaningful Yom Kippur to all who observe.

May this Day of Atonement bring reflection, forgiveness and peace. G’mar Chatima Tova.

Thank you the Lake George Association for hosting today’s Road Salt Reduction Summit. NY's drinking water is at risk from rising salinity; reservoirs like Amawalk could be undrinkable in 30 yrs if we don’t act. The Adirondacks’ use of brine & sand versus road salt should be scaled statewide.

It’s essential that we honor and respect the veterans who have bravely defended our nation.

Dedicating this section of Route 35 to Westchester County’s Purple Heart recipients is a meaningful way to recognize those who have given so much in service to our country.

I hosted a roundtable with area environmental leaders for a discussion on the health of the Adirondacks and strategies to protect this invaluable natural resource.

The state will need to prioritize environmental funding in response to recent federal rollbacks.

I joined environmental advocates for a boat ride yesterday on Raquette Lake, and we discussed the critical threats facing our region’s water sources and how the state can better support local Lake Associations in protecting these fragile freshwater ecosystems.

Shana Tova! Wishing all who celebrate a sweet and joyful New Year filled with health, peace, and new beginnings.

Since 2009, Climate Week has served as a vital platform to spotlight the growing threat of climate change.

As extreme weather worsens and federal policies roll back progress, raising awareness and taking action has never been more urgent.

I’m kicking off Climate Week with a tour of the Adirondacks with environmental experts to assess the impacts of climate change.

I attended Westchester’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor those in our community who lost their lives on that tragic day, and those we've since lost to 9/11-related illnesses.

We remember them always.

Thank you to the Putnam County Youth Bureau for organizing a moving 9/11 Memorial Ceremony in Brewster this morning to honor those we lost and the bravery of our first responders on that tragic day.

Proud to announce that my bill legalizing crossbows for big game hunting is now law. This is my first enacted law with AM Carrie Woerner.

It expands access to hunters and helps manage NY’s overgrown deer population. Grateful to colleagues & advocates who made it happen.

I just sent a letter to the DPS opposing NYSEG’s outrageous rate hike proposal. With so many NYers struggling, higher bills are unacceptable.
