A good example is When I See Him from Helluva compared to Easy from Hazbin. Both are quite sexual in tone, but Easy is really tasteful. Helluva likes to be crude, because that's the kind of show it is. It just isn't for everyone. (I like both shows as well.)

I just want to give you props for being polite to people pushing the show at you a little too much. It's also nice that you acknowledge that the charm of it is more likeable to some more than others, instead of saying it's bad or throwing insults at people for liking it. Need more people like you.

This is why he can't remember people's names and why it seems like he's spacing out. It confuses Charlie and others to think it's about being uncaring and not empathetic, which is part of their distanced relationship issues.
