Sudan Ebola virus disease is a severe, often fatal illness affecting humans and other primates that is due to Orthoebolavirus sudanense (Sudan virus).

There are 4 species of Orthoebolaviruses that cause illness in people: Ebola virus, Sudan virus, Bundibugyo virus and Taï Forest virus.
