Spending the morning checking out interesting tidbits (to my underperforming Saturday brain) from the BBBAd bill.
A section of legislative text titled "SEC. 20011. IMPROVING DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE BORDER SUPPORT AND COUNTER-DRUG MISSIONS." The section allocates \$5 billion to the Secretary of Defense for fiscal year 2025 for border operations, military deployment, operations and maintenance, counter-narcotics, counter-transnational criminal organization support, construction in national defense areas, temporary migrant detention at Defense installations, and repatriation of individuals to support law enforcement activities. The funds remain available through September 30, 2029, and are authorized under specific sections of Title 10, United States Code.
