Shinobu and Maya Kamizono, the heroines of Double Peace, first debuted in Mighty Gunvolt as the girls trapped by Mr. Demon Plant Jr. If the player character is male (GV/Beck), then Shinobu is trapped. If the character is female (Ekoro), then it's Maya. Each fall in love after being freed.

The antagonists of Servants of the Dark are Lyzenorg and Lysa. Lyzenorg is a lightning wielding demon lord with a thirst for power, and Lysa is Maxim's former head maid.

Dranis is another of Maxim's vassals whose love for treasure overrides her loyalties.

For both characters, their faces and expressions are visible in concept art as well, which are otherwise unseen in the games

There have been only two occasions where a Gal Gun protagonist's face is fully visible in-game: in any true ending for GG1/R (where Tenzou's face is visible from a distance), and in the normal ending for Gal Guardians (where Houdai's face is unobscured in his dialogue portrait)

The English GGR website profile for Akira Hibuki explicitly labels her as a bit of a brocon. You may interpret this however you see fit

The only artwork that exists of the protagonist in-game aside from the DLC is during the fake dating sim screen. Since the portrait is in black and white, it is difficult to determine what his hair color is supposed to be.

Gal Gun 2's protagonist not only lacks an official name, but also seems to lack official artwork depicting his final appearance as well. Early concept art seems to portray him with brown hair, but the Wanted Poster item reuses Houdai's portrait with the Pheromone Goggles on top.

In the Ekoro route of Double Peace, one positive dialogue option results in Houdai shouting into a 2nd controller's microphone. This is a reference to the Famicom game Takeshi's Challenge, a game which infamously requires use of a 2nd controller's microphone at certain points to advance.

A few months ago, a Metroidvania sequel called Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark was announced, starring new characters and taking place in the demon realm. There isn't much news about it yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

Gal Guardians (formerly known as Grim Guardians) is a Castlevania-esque spinoff series of the Gal Gun series, starring the demon hunter heroines from Double Peace, Shinobu and Maya Kamizono. Despite the different name, it uses the same characters and universe as the main Gal Gun titles!

In the main games, the protagonist gains the power of the Pheromone Shot by an angel, allowing them to shoot an opposing girl's "weak spots" to incapacitate them with ecstasy. They must hold the hordes of girls at bay long enough to confess to their true love. Think zombie shooters but with girls!
