There's no stakes, no creative accountability with purely AI-generated art. I think it's okay to use generative tools in your process, but whole cloth AI generated art is fraudulent. It cannot be criticized or understood in the same way as human-constructed art.

"Gold Code" takes inspiration from "How To Survive an Atomic Bomb," a hilariously unnerving guidebook from the 1950s. (One notable tip, “if you are caught outdoors in a sudden attack, a hat will give you at least some protection from the heat flash”)

It's more that I found a bit of satisfaction making a track over a day or two, fiddling with bits until I had something, more just as a way to occupy my hands and decompress.
